Website access and hosting
The website is hosted by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4–6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. Mittwald also provides the contact form's email service and processes data as a technical service provider.
Delivery, security and troubleshooting involve processing IP addresses, times, requested URLs, status codes, transferred data volumes and, where supplied, referrer and browser information. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is reliable and secure operation.
According to Mittwald, access logs contain shortened IP addresses and are retained for 60 days. Error logs are deleted after seven days. Logs of email sent from the web environment are anonymised after one day and then retained for 60 days; mail server logs are deleted after four weeks. See Mittwald's privacy information.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email, telephone or contact form, we process the information you provide to handle your enquiry and follow-up questions. The form processes your name, email address, selected topic and message. It sends us an email and you an acknowledgement.
For enquiries concerning a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to pre-contractual steps or contract performance. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding.
Completed general enquiries are deleted after six months. Contract and accounting records are retained where statutory obligations apply under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, or where necessary to establish or defend claims under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Backups may contain deleted messages until routinely overwritten.
The form details are needed to process and answer your enquiry; without them we cannot handle a form submission. You are not required to use the form and may also contact us by telephone.
Matomo website analytics
With your voluntary consent, we use our own Matomo installation at stat.strahlhofer.com to improve our website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for device access requiring consent, section 165(3) TKG 2021. Before consent, no Matomo script is loaded and no analytics events are sent.
We record the page address without query strings or fragments, and interactions such as project and service clicks, language selection, project filters, FAQ and menu openings, display changes, phone and email clicks, and successfully submitted enquiries. Names, email addresses and message text entered in the form are not sent to Matomo.
Matomo uses no tracking cookies. IP addresses are fully masked, identifiers are randomly reassigned for every request and referrer URLs are not stored. Browser feature and campaign detection are disabled; returning visitors are not recognised using a persistent visitor identifier. Connecting to the statistics service initially involves processing the IP address at network level.
You can decline analytics and still use all website content and the contact form. Use “Statistics settings” in the footer to withdraw consent at any time for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Analytics data is deleted once no longer needed for usage analysis. Automatic deletion of Matomo raw data and aggregated reports is currently not configured, so there is no technically defined maximum retention period. Withdrawal stops future collection but does not automatically delete data already collected. See Statistics & settings for the measured actions.
Storing your analytics choice
Your analytics decision is stored in local browser storage for up to 180 days. It contains the choice, expiry and configuration reference, without an individual visitor identifier. This allows us to respect your explicit choice under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and section 165(3) TKG 2021 for the necessary storage.
Recipients and external content
Data is accessible to us and the technical service providers used for hosting, email and backups insofar as needed for their tasks. Other disclosures occur where required by law or necessary for your order. Data is not shared for third-party advertising. The website operation described here does not envisage transfers to recipients outside the European Economic Area.
Fonts, images and graphics are served by our website. Maps, external video players and external AI services are not embedded. External links connect to the destination only when opened; the destination provider's privacy information then applies.
Your rights
Subject to legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Contact office@strahlhofer.com.
You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: dsb.gv.at. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, producing legal or similarly significant effects.
